Last weekend I attended the Stoneybrook Steeplechase, held at the Carolina Horse Park. Ali decided to go all-or-nothing on decor for the tent competition, and created all sorts of wonderful crafts to really glam up our backstretch spot. I supplied the infamous white horse, which in general lives on my second floor landing looking out the window and creeping out the neighbors.
Her efforts ended up winning the ‘Most Creative’ Category, and being awarded a huge bottle of bubbly!
It was a really lovely day, and an excellent opportunity for us to drag the husbands along for a semi-equestrian activity! I think it’s safe to say we will definitely be back there next year!
That is so legit! Totally going to use this as inspiration when I head to Gold Cup in VA next month. Now where does one find a giant white horse….
Haha one has a couple of glasses of wine with her mother and then steps into Home Goods… 😉
Is that some kind of delicious looking meat wrapped around asparagus? Where can I get some of that?! Mmm!
This event looks AWESOME!
That is my signature appetizer- easiest thing in the world to make! It’s steamed asparagus, slathered with a bit of horse radish and wrapped in roast beef. Always a crowd pleaser!
looks like so much fun!! i really need to make it out to some of our steeplechases and point to points and general hunt club insanity around here — always looks like a blast!
Wow! I love those cupcakes, too cute 🙂
