That’s right, it happened. The USEA has banned any helmet cams from recognized competition until an independent study has taken place.
So sad.
But, our next competition is unrecognized, so there’s a chance that the organizers won’t announce a helmet cam ban- it’s all up to them.
Here’s hoping that the venue does not ban helmet cams. In the meantime, here are the couple I was able to take this year:
From our last show at the Horse Park:
And from our Recognized show at FENCE:
Keep your fingers crossed that we can get one more helmet cam in this year!
So dumb!
Just when things were getting fun! 😦
This is so ridiculously bogus I can’t even. Hopefully they lift the ban by next season.
Yes, I am hoping they actually move forward with an independent study quickly, and let us have our helmet cams back!
i was so bummed to hear about that ruling… hope it’s only temporary… helmet cam footage is pretty much the best ever
I love watching other people’s helmet cams, and reliving my own experiences too.. very much hoping the ban won’t last long!
I don’t know, I don’t think it’s bad rule. Something strapped to your head has to affect helmet function at least somehow… and personally I just don’t “get” the helmet cam thing. I think it’s worth reviewing, and don’t really have a dog in the fight since I would never ever put one on to show.
I love your helmet cams! – why they do dis?!
I hope you’re allowed to use one at your next event!
This is so odd to me! I’m curious to see what happens.
