Yes, this is a bit of a cop-out post. But, I was inspired by a coworker to share these photos, one of my mum on her Appaloosa jumper, Blue Boy, and another of her and her sister jumping cross country back in England. Different times!
Random – but I used to fox hunt with a couple of Brits and I was SO CONFUSED as to why they didn’t use saddle pads. Young Lauren could not figure it out!
Oh wow I love the old photos! And I love that you have other equestrians in the family. I was the first… haha. Have no idea how I got into it. I was just born wanting to do it!
It’s always different to be the first! But I do enjoy talking to my mother about horses (which we do A LOT), and I am lucky to be able to have learned so much from her. My dad used to be into trail riding and even had Paso Finos once, but now he just goes out occasionally for fun 🙂

Too funny! And calling saddle pads “numnahs”… or maybe that’s just my family- sometimes I don’t know! 🙂

My family is supportive but they don’t always understand all the craziness lol
