I don’t consider myself and overly superstitious person, but there are a couple things I ‘believe’ that could definitely fall into that category. And there are other logical, seemingly normal people I know that also hold to ideas that are decidedly superstitious as well. Just a couple days ago, Tyler was debating on whether or not to watch a Carolina game because he wasn’t sure if he was going to be good luck for them.

I’ve always kind of wanted some sort of token that I could believe in that would be my good luck charm, but try as I might nothing seems to want to be my lucky ‘thing’. Oh well. I do personally think though that bad things come in three’s, and the last 18 hours (in which this occurred) is proof of that to me. I also can’t help but feel uncomfortable about walking under ladders, opening umbrellas indoors, or breaking mirrors, though I don’t think I would make it a point to go out of my way to avoid doing those things.

So, friendly readers, what do you think? Lucky charms? Superstitions?

I’m moderately superstitious, like “I have lucky horse shows” but if I can’t find them the morning of I’m not convinced it’ll be a bad day!
I bought a pair of earrings (random, I know) at the Intercollegiate Dressage Championship, and ended up having the worst ride of my life. Now every time I wear them I think of that day, although they are too cute to be considered ‘unlucky’ in my book!
I am weird about using/wearing horse stuff the first time. I feel like something always happens to “break them in”.

I kind of am playfully, but don’t really believe in it. Like I use to have a bracelet from greece that was the evil eye of good luck that I rode in every time last year! Well, come to think of it, I did get 2nd, 1st, 4th and 7th out of 56 at the AECs so maybe it was pretty good luck… 😉 I feel like I wore it with Wiz and didn’t have quite the same results so I gave up on it ha. Maybe I should bring it back out… or maybe all the luck’s worn up! Who knows 😦
On a serious note, I do agree bad things happen in 3s… Take Wiz last fall: EPM, Kick that needed stitching, bout with cellulitis…
Haha it sounds like a cool bracelet either way! And now that Foster has abcessed again, I am hoping that abcesses don’t come in 3’s as well! 😦
